Elms Mission House
A handsome Georgian mission house lends insight into the European settlement of New Zealand. Built in 1847 for the Church Missionary Society, the house is complete with a grand library, which is the oldest freestanding library in the country. The home is adorned with much of the original decor, furniture and personal items. The house is open Wednesdays,Saturdays,Sundays and Public Holidays from 2pm to 4pm, and the grounds are open daily free of charge.
