From industrial land discarded by a timber sawmill, the Living Art Sanctuary Park is now lush with over 6,000 native and exotic plants. The new serene landscape has attracted much wildlife, from dragonflies to Giant and Banded Kokopu. The Park is focused on bringing awareness about the importance of conservation and is ever growing with animals, foliage, and facilities. A curio shop, tea garden, hot pools, signage, education centre, and an aviary for injured birds will soon be a part of the park. Bookings are essential for guided tours. Open daily.
